There were five days of public exhibition when we were able to showcase the evolving plans, drawings and proposals, and get feedback from local people. In addition, members of the project have consulted widely with local groups, residents, community leaders, and political stakeholders. The feedback we have received has been invaluable. It helped us to refine our proposals and address the concerns raised during the exhibitions and presentations.
Appointment of Wates Residential
Following a competitive tender process, Wates Residential has been appointed to complete the enabling works. This consists of increasing flood defences along the river wall.
Scale of the works ahead revealed
This site has remained undeveloped for so long. The scale of the work needed is considerable. It is amazing to think how much vision and courage is needed in order to transform an old industrial site into to a vibrant and creative destination.
Transformation in progress
The removal of the old warehouse brings the site one step closer to becoming a new destination to work, live and visit.
Clearing the way
Spoil continues to be removed from site, clearing the way for the next phase of enabling works.
The early morning sunshine is a welcome sight for the team and a sure sign we are moving into the lighter and warmer months. Now that the worst of the storms seem to have passed we are pleased to be able to resume use of the crane in order to progress works.
